Re: Help - near side folding door mirror stuck in up/folded position

Move it down manually. These items are designed to be moved without electricity. It may take a firm hand but it should not cause any problems.

Similar recent problem

I had sporadic events of this type over the course of a year. MMI would suddenly shut down when driving and then pop up with the "four ring basic screen". Nothing I did would bring it back - then...

Re: Who's Paying?

I was stopped in Montana a few years ago on a road trip from NJ to Lake Louise in Canada(2003 allroad). Very reasonable - I (luckily) was doing only ten over at the time. They allow you to sign a...

Re: Thermostat replacement cost?

I didn't pay for mine, but the work order showed removal of quite a few parts to get at the thermostat and the car was there for two days. I would also recommend an independent shop. This is one of...

Re: New owner with question about HVAC controls

Check the settings in the HVAC Setup menu(separate from MMI setup). I think there's a choice to have both sides work in synch or separately.

Re: Audi A8L Wiper Blade Info?

I was also disappointed that there is no winter option for wiper blades. The car just begs to be driven in bad weather but the wipers can't handle any decent amount of snow. The snow builds up...

Re: Its a 2004 , thanks

My '05 had a similar problem recently. The trunk would only latch loosely - it seemed the electric pull down would only work intermittently(not temperature dependent). My dealer actually fixed it...

Don't use summer tires in winter.

They can be most dangerous when there is only a light dusting of snow on the ground. Kind of like riding a toboggan - no control.

I owned a 1992 LS400 and it was extremely dependable. In fact it was the longest I have ever owned a single car (8 yrs). But the interiors seem to have large expanses of vinyl and the leather cracks...
