I get around 15-17 around town with minimal highway, 24-25 on long haul interstate
Notice summer mix of gas seems to give less mpg..or obvious answer is or could be a/c compressor use.

In England on 98 RON fuel (makes a difference) a 20 mile journey in the morning from cold is around 22-24mpg.
On motorway cruising with cruise control on at 80mph I can get 29mpg just.
Average motorway driving is 24-25mpg which goes from 80-100mpg driving.
Never dip under 20 as I cruise and hoof it as needed.

98 RON
Yes, I'm in California and we have 91 (R+M)/2 here, which is about he same as 95 RON, so the A8 ECU can't lean things out as much as with your 98 RON fuel.
Are you quoting those mileage numbers in Imperial gallons?

2004 A8L serial 8170 Drove to Green BAy Wi and back, 325 miles cruise set at 71 MPH 24.4 MPG Temp 70 degrees not much wind today. Around town about 18.5 to 19 summer 17 to 18 winter. 65,000 miles on car. I always use premium (93 octane)
