I've yet to see anything other than Mobil 1 5W-30 or 10W-30 at my local Costco's. If yours stocks M1 0W-40, you're lucky!

Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (a.k.a., 'German Castrol') would be a much better choice as far as a 30-weight oil goes. It carries VW 502.00, 503.01 and 505.00 ratings as well as others from Mercedes and BMW....

IIRC, the stock blades are essentially encased in rubber...

...they don't have the exposed articulated metal frames like the old-school blades did. Stock blades have performed well on my wife's S4 so far this winter here in MN.
