Default Oil BT: I know I am beating a dead horse here but.......
This is my first S4 and I am getting ready to change the oil. The car has been getting M1 5w30 from the previous owner but I was thinking of going with 0w40. I live in South Florida and the car is an APR stage 2+ without cats. Any suggestions on brand and type? TIA!

I use M1 full synthetic 0W40

Default Just curious if anyone uses Rotella T full syn 5W40 on their S? Been using it with great sucess
on both of my lowly 2.8 30V's FWIW...

Mobil 1 0W40 is what I use, and is very popular here. German Castrol 0W30 is another good choice.

Why? I'm not even sure there are any readily available 5W-30 oils in the US that meet VW 502/505.
