They're eating the cost - AoA will NOT pay for synthetic in 2004s. :(

Given the date it doesn't matter now as I can't imagine there are any 2004s left that are still under Audi's maintenance program.

Yes they will. Show them the manual's list of ACEA approvals required. Only Syn works.

They did for me since 04 when i showed them that.

3k is old school, you can EASILY go 5k on that oil.
