What 1 to buy? 2007 Limited STI 30k mi or 2008 STI wagon 8k mi or 2004 Audi S4 Avant 95k all 6spd

Get a good S4
I bought an 05 CPO Avant, all options, with 39k miles in middle of October for 26k from Niello Audi, and if it were today I probably could have gotten it for 20k or less. Lots of good used cars out there.
The price for the STI with 19k is too high, and the price you will pay in regret is much higher than that.

It would seem some of you buy cars for different reasons than I do--and that's ok..
I myself have owned nothing but Vdubs and Audis since roughly 1990. At one point a few years ago I did buy a beater 83 Subaru 4X4 wagon just to beat around in the snow in Spokane for about 6 months so that I wouldn't trash my Golf that I had at the time---but that is it.
I just cannot see myself owning/ driving anything but a Vdub, Audi or Porsche. Just can't drive a car the underpinnings of which I can neither trust or be familiar with. I'm not saying all other brands out there are sheer 'junk', no---and I know there are some other makes out there that are building some quality vehicles these days. I guess it's just part of it is familiarity, part of it is trust. Can't drive soemthing I don't believe in. I guess maybe it's kinda' personal for me.

I kind of feel the same way, only the opposite...
...I "trust" my STi more than I trusted my previous Audi (2001 S4 Avant). While I didn't have many issues with my '01 S4, I didn't want to keep it beyond the warranty period due to the numerous reports of blown turbos, etc. My STi has been rock-solid reliable and I plan to keep it a long time.
My wife's '05 S4 Avant has been good for the short amount of time that we've owned it (picked it up back in July), with no issues to report other than the stupid fogged headlamps which I haven't gotten around to fixing.

Re: how was the Bullet?
Actually, I it was a nice car. I had a 66 Mustang Coupe that I put a 302 4V Carb in with a toploader 4 speed with a Mr. Gasket sequential sgifter. A mechanical one made out of steel that you could slam away on, no computers!! I was drifting that thing well before the ricers discovered drifting.
Anyhow,
The Bullitt had lots of power and torque, and turned without understering at all. The interior was retro, but nicely done. However, they did not want to give me the price I wanted and had regular finaince rates too. It was a solid car.
So I will admit I was suprised and Ford did a good job with it. I came close to getting it, above the G8 GT, STi, R32, or the Nismo Z. But I got the Audi S4 and I am satisfied. If after the CPO ends I may consider the new Mustang or the G8 GXP. Had the G8 GT had the 6 speed...it would have been closer for that one.
I'm not a car snob like some. I am an engineer and I like a good design no matter who makes it and, I am willing to look beyond labels to drive cars before I judge/condem them. So I never comment on a car till I drive it and have a good look at it myself.
