The white part inside is plastic, and it cracked. Not exactly what filtering materials is usually made of. Wonder if it's there to sample air or certain fumes.

Here you go. I changed the oil at 55k miles, and never topped it off. It usually shows about 1/4 or 1/2 on the display. And I verify it with my dipstick.

The oil stops in between the min and max...

I used one of my hands to make sure the base of the jack was flat and level, and jacked it up until it settle in to the jack point. It would have missed the jack point if it was too far in or out.
