I thought there is only ONE version of the 2.0 engine, and that's the one with 220 hp.
That's right, on the North American market there is only one model 2.0TFSI with 220 HP
In RoW there are two models 2.0TFSI: 132 kW (180 HP) and 169 kW (230 HP)

I am also a little surprised that Audi does not put the 252hp 2.0 engine in the Q5. The same one on the A6 2.0

Audi never implement new engines and new electronics (MMI 4G with virtual cockpit ....) in the old models
It will be in the new model Q5

It had heated seats and seat memory which we were told come with all models (even though the brochure specifically states that both of these amenities are on the premium plus packages).

I found the engine and ride to be very nice. I currently have a 2014 RDX which has a more powerful engine but I didn't notice any drop off in performance. The RDX seems to "glide" more if that makes sense. Almost as if it were a lighter, effortless ride if that makes any sense.
For ride yes the RDX is going to be a smoother ride than the Q5. I have both a 2014 Q5 and a 2014 Honda CRV and the Honda ride is nice and smooth, feels connected to the road and not much body roll. The Q5 is bouncy and has more body roll. The "new" Q5's that you drove have stiff chassis pivot points, stiff ball joints, and the springs have not settled. Also the tire side walls have not flexed enough and broken in yet. I always drive a new vehicle first, and then ask the sales guy to let me drive their loaner vehicle with a few thousand miles on it to get a feel for what it will be like in the real word after everything is broken in. There are big differences............

On top of that, you don't know what the tires are inflated to. I would venture a guess they may be over-inflated, which further contributes to the bouncy ride.

By default the RDX should be FWD, not AWD, and that should also make some difference. AWD will also affect the weight distribution of the car, and I would hope the suspension was also different to reflect that.
While Acura offers AWD as an option, in many areas dealers don't stock it.

If you want to REALLY be sure of what comes with a car, read the window sticker. That has to be accurate under federal law. The manufacturer's literature always will say "subject to change" because equipment does change during the production year. And the dealers often tell bedtime stories, either because it is simpler for them, or it helps them generate more sales. A rare few really know their stuff and will be honest about it, but the window sticker isn't allowed to have any mistakes or lapses in memory.

They implemented the 3.0T in 2013 to replace the old 3.2, at least in the US.

They also implemented the hybrid in 2013.
