Spicy, welcome aboard! It's sort of a shame that it takes a whopper of a ticket to get you to register at this website.
"We've found the A4 models a delight to drive. They are compliant enough to soak up bumps like a larger car but firm enough to feel solid and stable to its electronically limited top speed of 130 mph."
I don't know what sort of penalty you face, but I'd be seeking a lawyer at this time.

130 max, electronically limited. Specs for 2013 here: https://www.audiworld.com/model/q5/13/13Q5_specs.pdf
An argument car couldn't go that fast isn't going to work. Ran 2013 Hybrid to approx 130 in gas only mode--legally on Autobahnen.

At 130 mph, the Q5 should just cut fuel flow and ignition.

I found out (after an accidental 4->2 downshift followed by wide open throttle) that my last car indeed had a red limiter. But that just cut ignition on redline, and gave it back as soon as the rpm's had dropped. Felt like driving a cocktail shaker.(G)
But how on earth would "No, we will decide your safety" Audi ever think that 130mph was allowable or proper in any way, at any time, in a street legal vehicle in the US? I could see arguing for 100 or even 110 on the wide open plains in Texas, but really? Even the Interstate and Defense Highway System, arguably our finest roads, was designed for sustained speeds not in excess of 90mph for courier vehicles.
At 101 mph, on the east coast you'd be cited for reckless driving and told to pick up your car at the impound yard. Max limit of 75, plus 25 over, and at 101 you have just crossed into a whole world of needing a lawyer.
