Hmmh, sorry for your pain but thanks for posting. I am a floorjack junkie so I always just pull the Q5 or our other vehicles into the shop and use a floorjack. We [knock on wood] haven't had a flat on the road and literally have not taken the factory jack out yet. I can at least have the knowledge that this nonsense happens if I ever do use it?

I just moved to a single car garage, townhome. Haven't went out to buy a car lift yet, and left previous one at my folks home. I just wanted to inspect my front brake pads. Figured th OEM jack would suffice.
