Default What is this piece?
Can someone please identify what this piece is and it's significance? Unfortunately mine cracked as you can tell, but no check engine light has come on.

From what I remember there is one by each headlight behind the bumper beam. Correct me if I am wrong but, a vent/filter for headlight housings. The element may be a one way membrane.

Yep, that is exactly what it is.
Headlight Housing Vent Tube.
Vent Part Number: 4G0941041

That's not it. The one in question, sits right between the #2 and # 3 coil pack for the spark plugs.

In your case I think it's this hoses 06L133781M, Connecting Tube With Akf Valve
