Not really sure. I think it was due to the air being too cold by the time it got back there. This is why the 4 zone has electronic heaters on both front seats.

The VW fix (due to lawsuit) to prevent clogged sunroof drains is to snip the rubber off the end of the drain hose. This makes the 1mm opening an almost 10mm opening.

I'm assuming you don't have 4 zone climate control?

If thats the case then heat does not come out of those vents. Only A/C comes out of those during the summer months.

I believe the service interval needs to be reset with vag-com, or by a dealer. I'm not sure if there is a special process by pushing a few buttons to turn it off on the A8/S8 models.
