Ditto. I picked up a few extras the last time I bought some, but...

I've gone through most of them. Seems like each time I take off the trim, I break about half of them. They do get very brittle.

Thinking it's time to sell the '84...

Kept it after the accident to be a parts car for my '86, but never had the heart to pull anything off of it... unless it was an emergency... and even at that I found the parts to put it back...

Can you get at all the shift lever bushings from the top? What about adjusting after reassembly...

Seem to recall that there's a special tool, or you can also do it by trial and error. 30 Minutes sounds good!

after about 18 years of that fun (for an engineer/auto enthusiast), I now mostly manage projects, people and clients.

So how much did the wheel refurbish set you back?

I've got a set of 15x6 R8s. Not nearly as sweet as yours, but a nice stock-looking upgrade over the 14s. Best estimate I've gotten for a straightening, curb rash repair, blast and repaint is over...

Is the place you had them installed a TireRack recommended installer?

I would hope there would be some incentive to provide reasonable prices and customer service to stay on their 'recommended' list and keep the TireRack customers coming in?

I'd like to match facory finish (Zermatt paint with clearcoat)...
