Default Slow day. Tuesday poll time!

Ive asked this in years past, but we have alot of new members around here, so I figure its worth another go around.

What is your occupation?

I work for Lincoln Financial Group with Individual Annuities. First job out of college for me and I enjoy it. Took a while for me to land a decent job and Im glad its with a large company with superb benefits and opportunities.

I was formerly a college student for 6-7 years and worked for Ingram Book Company for 5 years doing warehouse work.
Other former jobs: Lonestar Steakhouse, Sears Automotive, Intek Manufacturing, and Sherwin Williams Paint.

I'm a college student at the moment, majoring in Business.
When I'm not at school, I work at Prudential Real Estate as a "do whatever is needed dude" until I finish getting my re license.

Default Pretty much

I did college forever, but I had to pay for it too . So, it took longer than the "normal" 4 years. Glad Im done though, but I'll be back in a few for higher education.

Enjoying corporate america for now!

Default well..................(as i get long winded)

i am actually disabled with a heart condition and 2 replacement hips. i've been disabled since 2001 after a couple heart attacks. oh, and i'm only 37. i do restore jeeps and sell them. my wife has informed me that the one i'm doing now will be kept and not sold. i also own a detailing business on the side. i have been detailing for about 20 years, yes i started very early.

i started with hand detailing on show and classic cars. then i ran an auto detailing and accessorie center for a ford delearship. the delearship also owned an import car delearship and we did many of their new and used cars as well as all customer vehicles. this was cool because it was an audi, vw, porsche, and mercedes delearship. on my own i specialize in classic, specialty cars. i do pick up and delivery so i get to drive some pretty cool stuff. i do "regular" cars as well.

it sucks having heart problems, but having so much free time does let me work on the audi a fair amount. unfortunately, i am the neighborhood do all guy. so i spend alot of time doing stuff for other people, from computer stuff to automotive and home repairs. i can't say "no" so i don't get as much time on the audi and jeep as i should, but it's good to helpout.

i have a wife of 15 years and 4 daughters. the twins are 9, then i have a 6 and a 4 year old. they keep me busy but are great for handing you tools while you're under the vehicle. my wife has helped out on most of my jeeps so she knows alot about vehicles. she actually knows how to r&r a tranny and transfer case in a jeep. she's handy to have around. the kids love working on vehicles with me, so we get alot of quality time.

i am an avid hunter of pretty much everything. the personal plates on my truck are "BRDHNTR" (birdhunter). my personal plates on my audi that i have had for 20 years is "LDAVIS" (my first name is actually leigh davis, but i usually go by leigh). the plate on my project jeep say it all "JEEPS". then i have personalized plates from another jeep i just sold, once you have them you keep them here, "SZTHEDA" (seize the day).

well that's a little about me since i am one of the newer people on the forum. it's great to know you all.

Default Currently on sabbatical - in training for 2008 Olympic Demonstration of Hillbilly Golf

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23847/mitsushimihirohito.jpg"></center><p>....if I could only beat Morgan.....

in my time away from training....I'm a Consulting Geotechnical Engineer. I used to say I play with dirt for money....until that fateful open house at my son's school where there, up on the wall, was the story of his family and how his dad works at a Dirt Company. (beware all parents-to-be...the walls have ears!) Been having "fun" recently with a single cylinder diesel - 40 cycles/minute going downwards at about 50 feet in 10 minutes (guesses?)

Over the years I've also been a Ski Instructor, sold skis and snowboards at Sports Authority, raced course boards for a surf shop, worked on the family farm, was a groundskeeper at a resort, worked at a place were they made cars and trucks and were very G enerous M an!
Picture is from my farming days, me sitting on one of our 6wd deuce "hay wagons" - sometimes I miss that job.....
