Not really sure. I think it was due to the air being too cold by the time it got back there. This is why the 4 zone has electronic heaters on both front seats.

I'm assuming you don't have 4 zone climate control?

If thats the case then heat does not come out of those vents. Only A/C comes out of those during the summer months.

I believe the service interval needs to be reset with vag-com, or by a dealer. I'm not sure if there is a special process by pushing a few buttons to turn it off on the A8/S8 models.
