It's there as an anti-frothing measure

The baffle is there as an anti-frothing measure.

In the winter if you make lots of short trips and the engine doesn't warm up it reduces the amount of frothing that will form in the valve cover...

There is a proportioning valve...

on my '93 S4. It's located right in front of the driver's side rear wheel on the bottom of the car.

The procedure I use is to pull the "U-hook" on the proportioning valve downwards and hold it in...

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to get a parts list...

...and better yet suppliers for the materials. Digikey parts numbers would have been ideal. :o)

I find with this kind of project 70% of the time is spent just figuring out what's needed and...

Static from front speakers - audio questions

After sitting for a couple of months my wife's 99.5 A4 1.8t is back on the road again. Problem is, the front speakers are now generating quite a bit of static regardless of input source.

It is...

Diifferent coil packs in your photos, not used for AAN conversion

The 1.8t coils in your photo are not the same as the 115L coils used for the Dave Forgie conversion.

The one in your photo are the same as those used on my AEB engined 1.8t, which differ from the...

Did you order it as a kit...

...or as a bunch of parts?

I'm contemplating the same conversion, and now that Alex isn't supplying conversion kits anymore am interested in any "one stop shopping" options for the conversion....

I'd also be interested in any additional info

I've pretty much encountered the same issues and have the same concerns as DocWyte, so any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

No, I beleive he's refering to the clips found on the end of part 16...

...which do not have an individual part number.

According to Audi America you have to buy the entire headlamp assembly to get them. Hella Canada does claim to be able to supply them, but is...

I just went through this last month and figured out two solutions (long)...

When I pulled my headlamps apart last month I ended up breaking two clips taking the headlamps apart, and one more putting them back together again. Only after appealing to the S-car world for...

As far as I know, no...

That's the one big disappointment on the S-cars is the slow steering response and lowsy feel of the servotronic system. Even mucking about with the servotronic relay by changing the resistive values...

...and surveyed all those running 245 and 255 width tires to let me know what offset they were using and if there was any rubbing.

I took that info and over the summer tried fitting various...

Ottawa, ON...

...well, actually Aylmer, Quebec, which is a suburb of Ottawa. But since no one knows where Aylmer is it's easier just to say "Ottawa".

Hoping to make it to S-Fest this year,

It's unlikely to be the steering damper...

Supposedly you can check by grabbing firmly hold of it and giving it a strong tug in both...

There's a few listers in Ottawa...

...about 1.5-1.75 hours from Mont Tremblant.

There seems to be a pocket of 7 or 8 S-cars here in Ottawa.

S-Fest North anyone?
