FWIW I have a Q5 at present and am looking to keep carrying two kids and a dog while saving a bit on fuel, so I have looked at either keeping the Q5 or change to A4 Avant or A5 Sportback (yes you can...

I think you'll find pics of those wheels in the UK Q5 brochure (avail. PDF). Go to audi.co.uk, click brochures on RHS, Pics you are looking for are in section for S-Line (note we in UK have different...

This independant comparison from UK is excellent.

The audi.co.uk link was the first I could find but is also available from the publishers website if anyone feels concerned about whether or not it is impartial...

<a...

What would marketing have you believe?

Women love SUVs. And if she loves it, he'll hear about it. I just ordered one. Personally I would have had an S4 Avant. But that was met with the wife's one and only veto card and so the Q5 is...

The elephant in the room on MPG is IMHO

You have to drive a 2.0T like your driving your grandmother everywhere to achieve those figures. Break 4000 rpm and it's like someone put a screwdriver through the bottom of your fuel tank!

I...

Unlikely

Even here in the UK - where over 90% of cars are manual - the 2.0T is S-Tronic for the foreseeable future. And the engine is expected to be so marginal in sales that no dealer currently has a demo...

10.5% off MSRP but we work a different system

I'd wait for a 3.0 TDi

I am not looking to make anyone envious but I have just test driven and ordered a 3.0 TDi. Is it not the case that the 3.0 TDi may well appear on the other side of the pond sometime in the future?

Even the 3G MMI won't be worth it.

Don't get me wrong. The system on my Q5 Demo this week is excellent. Much much better than any portable Nav I have seen.

But the price is just pure fantasy. I couldn't justify it.

Made the same decision. Comes down to bling, noise, and availability

Do you want bling or do you want understated style.

Do you want a cabin the rattles like a toolbox after 2000 miles or one thats solid as a rock after 27000 (Don't shoot me down... currently own...

I had word from a UK dealer today

They have heard it is coming to UK spec A4 (no surprise there) but have no potential dates as yet. That's pretty bleak news for anyone waiting for one over here and I'm guessing its worse news for...

Great Dogs! Reminds me to say...

The A3 head rests are good at holding on to a blanket or similar to protect your trim a bit. As in ChrisEVO photo. All other cars I have had recently don't seem to manage this! I know it sounds a...

Good Job!!! Was wondering if luggage and dog would fit Avant trunk

And there is my answer. Do you think you could overlay an A4 Avant with a 747 just for fun?!?!?

That sounds average for this engine and as for RPMs

My A3 does all motorway (freeway) work and my wife has a Golf GTi (same engine) which is mainly town and she boots it (read constantly). Both cars go through oil at same rate for what its worth (and...

EuroNCAP uses 40% offset front ender. Car yaws heavily

As the car strikes the barrier offset it yaws to one side tossing occupants sideways. Therefore side airbag deploys. Video shows this nicely.
