Default looks good, odd that side airbags went off in front collision also

but it looked very safe in the 40 mph crash. the 3rd picture is the most impressive as there is zero damage in the passanger space

the pole test, is quite intense

Default Trim levels that Audi used back in the late 90s were Attraction, Ambiente and Ambition

Looks like they have continued the practice in Europe. I'll need some help from the old timers here, but iirc Attraction was the base model. Ambiente was warmer with a classic look, think walnut wood with beige interior. Ambition was a little more trendy, with cooler colors (like the two-tone black/blue interior on the 98.5 A4 1.8TQ sport, with gray wood).

Default When I bought my 2001 those names referred to interior themes and not a particular trim level.

It basically boiled down to what color and pattern you had on your aluminum trim more than anything else. Or in the 2.8 it affected the finish on the wood trim pieces. Wood was only available on the 2.8, regardless of interior theme choosen. I can't remember what color went with what what trim name. I can't even remember what's in my A4 now.

Default Why the passenger gets better protection than the driver?

You do understand that there is no steering wheel/column on the passenger side, right?

Default EuroNCAP uses 40% offset front ender. Car yaws heavily

As the car strikes the barrier offset it yaws to one side tossing occupants sideways. Therefore side airbag deploys. Video shows this nicely.
