I'm taking the oil back tomorrow, but for my understanding: I see owners using a thinner 5w-30 freely (not the suggested grade), so why is going up to a 15W-50(also not a suggested grade)...

EDIT: I think I might go with a lower viscocity oil, sounds like most people won't use higher than 40. I don't have access to an '01 manual, only the '00MY manual and it doesn't have viscocity specs....
