Do any of you use 15W-50 in your 1.8Ts?

And for those who know, would you use this in your track car if not anywhere else?

It'll give you some wicked high oil pressure. I've used it in a worn out MK1 Jetta with 280,000 miles on it my oil pressure gauge was pegged @100psi for the first 20 minutes of ideling. Just be careful you don't blow up any oil filters since it's so heavy it can't go through the oil bypass valve as quickly. If you let your car warm up before you drive, you shouldn't have any problems. I'd stick to 10-40 or 10-30 Mobil1

Default Hmm. I traded my 83 Wolfsburg Jetta with 200k miles on it (had it from new) used M1...

from about 40k miles never had to use anything heavier that 10w-40 no problems with oil pressure. Even on long (from Chicago to FL or AZ many times) highway trips at 75mph.

Picture not mine, same color but had the 16v Scirocco wheels.
