Default Forge FMIC vs APR - 225 TT

My next mod is a FMIC. So far I've done an APR chip (stock/93/100), APR diverter valve and APR 3" turbo-back exhaust. The tech info on the APR FMIC is impressive, the Forge one doesn't seem to have much from what I read on their website.

I'm not thrilled with the fact that the APR setup disables the headlamp washers. If it wasn't for that fact I'd probably just get that kit and be done with it. I really like their stuff. Mike from Forge Motorsports said that the Forge FMIC allows for full function of the headlamp washers.

I'm probably going to stop building after the FMIC. I was going to go with a BT, but am reconsidering. I would like to do the FMIC though since the car is chipped and from what I've read the stock ICs barely are adequate and are not adequate on a chipped car. Please don't flame me for asking this question. I'm just trying to get some feedback before making my next purchase.

I guess I'm just trying to hear from people who have either setup and get their impressions on how it performs.

Default not sure if you can tell the differences between larger FMICs...

and in some cases, allow the use of the aliens. as far as i know, my o.CT allows the use of the aliens...and from what i've seen, the Forge allows it as well.

the Forge one doesn't have cast ends, but is built very well and has more of a custom look, while the o.CT version that i have, has cast aluminum ends.

even if you decide to go BT, some aftermarket FMICs may not fit the stage III kits, such as the Del Rio, which uses their own...and is smaller in size.

there's also the tCarbon FMIC that some have installed here.

Default Don't count on..>>>

Having the aliens work with the Forge. Some can, some can't. In my case it would have severly pinched the IC hoses. Many others have found the same.

Throw in some cold air feeds to your airbox and convert the Alien pump to a Mister set-up..

Mike from Forge Motorsports said that their FMIC works with the headlamp washers. Maybe I'm being lame, but I really hate to break functionality of one system to improve another.

Default there isn't much functionality with the headlight washers except for wasting water

I personally like the way they pop out but it isn't that beneficial.

Default Face it, they're a waste of time..I consider an FMIC much more functional..>

Unless you like impressing your friends and ruining your detail job with an occasional squirt.

Real life experience here says oftentimes you need to lose them with an FMIC install.. Good riddance i say..If you're making a purchase contingent on that you MAY be disappointed.

Big Turbo=Larger plumbing then stock 225. I think Del Rio goes from 2.25"(stock) to 2.5" intake and exhaust as well as FMIC, "M Power this!" told me that was why he switched out his Forge FMIC.
