Which US A8/S D5 models/years have the Predictive Active Suspension option available?
I'd like to drive an A8 with the Predictive Active Suspension (the one that uses the road scanning camera in the windshield to help prepare the suspension for upcoming speed bumps, etc).
I tried to build / configure an A8 on audiusa.com but couldn't see where that was an option. I did see in the technical specs that it is available in the US. Does anyone have the exact details as to which option packages / trim levels of the A8/S8 have this feature and can point me to the info on that? I can't find any clear documentation on exactly which models have it and which option kits include it.
When I'm going to look for cars to test drive with this feature, how can I be sure the car has it if the salesman is not saavy / couldn't be bothered.
As I search my local area which trim packages do I need to confirm the car has without having to see the car in person only to find out that it doesn't have the feature.
And if I do check a specific car out, from what I understand, there is no obvious setting in the car that would clearly indicate that the car has this specific feature. I do understand that one would select Comfort(+) to enable it, but it is not clearly labeled as Predictive Active Suspension ON.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

I believe in the US you can only add this on the 60 TFSI or the S8.
In Canada one can add it on the 55 TFSI as well.

Don’t think you’ll be able to, unless you’re in the market for an S8. Apparently PAS was no longer available as of MY 2021 on the A8 “60TFSI” (or “55 TFSI) in the U.S. Now only comes exclusively (as standard) on the S8. We’ll see if it’s offered for MY22 on any A8 model trim when the order guide comes out later this month (?).
By the way when I build an A8 60, you can click the icon for technical specifications (It looks like a chassis viewed from the top IIRC), and it shows that suspension as optional for the V8 A8 (60TFSI).

Your salesperson would be wrong. As of 2021MY, it’s only available on the S8. You can check this out on the Audi website by looking at the technical specs for the A8L and S8 models. Standard suspension on the 55 and 60 models is the adaptive air suspension (comfort); on the S8 it’s the PAS.

sad it is not available for 2021 A8
Yes, you are correct. I wasn't asking the right question to my salesman. The "predictive" suspension is no longer available on MY2021 (was available on MY2020 he said).
Now, I'm curious how much difference between the adaptive suspension vs. the predictive one.
Hope someone has this experience to answer.
I'm about the pull the trigger for an A8L in a few days.
Thanks
