I would really appreciate it if someone would bother measuring the diagonal distance from underneath the sun-wisor up front, to the rear of the boot (with the rear seat down of course) on a C4 avant....

..Dunno about the A4 but the s2-stuff is pretty much bolt-on AFAIK. I did some research on that a couple of years ago for my euro 80 2.8q and it seems that s2-stuff will be the way to go for quattros...

Tried with huge pliers on the knob and lot of yanking on the outside handle...and hey presto! Thanks

My lock mechanism has thrown in the towel though, better get a new one.
