Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with the gas guage. I fill my tank, needle shows full. Everything is normal until around half a tank, as soon as my gas level reaches this magic point, the needle plummets (quickly) to empty or near empty. As I continue to drive it goes up very slowly, but never goes higher that quarter tank. Very odd and very annoying.

It happened today on the way back from a 300 mile round trip, I got there on quarter tank, and about a half hour from home, I hit just above half-tank. The needle took a nose dive to empty. I know the gas didn't actually go down that fast.

Any ideas? Problem with the guage, or however the level is measured (floater system or something? no idea)

2nd that. Bought a new one for my 12v a couple of years ago, set me back 50 Euros, that's 70 USD
