Late to the discussion- (but long time AW member way back from the B5 S4 days- that I still have.

I had the fix on my 2014 Q7 TDI shortly after it was approved. Agreed, that shift points are...

Actually, they are designed for left seat driving unless they came from England and I am not even...

sure those have the cut off's flipped. More B5's were shipped to countries that drive on the right side of the road. It would have been easy enough for Valeo to do, but I just don't know if they did....

Look just to the left of the turbo. The hard pipe has a bead on it as well...

so unless they are aftermarket it should be there.

Samco does make a hose as well but I think you need the whole kit.

Make sure the hoses are free of all oil residue with some breakclean or...

I agree with Nigel- I have seen it trip at +/- 21-22% but never 6%. I run -9% all the time and never

get any codes.

I'd drive around and watch it to see it hits while driving, it has to go much higher than 6% if you are throwing that code.

Honestly it's all about throttle position. If you are WOT all the time you will probably ....

have to refill it more often than your fuel tank.

If you daily drive the car and aren't in boost all the time it will most likely last a tank or two.

Hmm.... I've never noticed throttle response being an issue. If I want more throttle...

I push it a little further.

Actually, I would think that would be a hindrance if you tracked the car. I like a nice linear throttle not an on/off switch.

Is it possible the PCV valve was frozen up and thawed from the engine heat...

after your drive? That might explain the smoke, and lack of it after it warmed up.

Not sure, but I know others have had issues with PCV's freezing up in really cold weather. Fortunately it isn't...

Dumb question- have you checked the oil level afterward? Is it possible it is the Power steering...

pump that crapped itself and that is what you are seeing.

Does the engine oil even show up on the dipstick?
