I found one at purems for 36$ Part # SKU: 8D0121403D, and the s4 one is for 56$ Part # SKU: 8D0121403M. Is there a difference in the two besides the price?

IIRC tha Passat B5 is identical and priced signficantly less.

You can. The only difference is the overflow tube. It can be moved to the new bottle if careful.
