I noticed on APR's website the horsepower/torque readouts for 93 octane were about +57hp and around 94lb/ft of torque.
However GIAC's site claims only ~47hp and ~50torque.

possibly plan to trade a 2000 a4 1.8T with 59k on the clock and 1 year left of AA (few rock chips on the hood/FB on scratch on the door as far as condition) for a GTI. I know I can always respray...

Are major brands like GIAC and APR detectable without physically opening to up the case to check the ECU?

What was the outside temperature?
My friend also owns a 99 with a tip and APR stage 1 and ran once in 95 degree temp and once and in 75 the next night.
First run he did like 16.4 and with a lower temperature he ran a 15.7.

well, I move the car after I parked it to make more room under the port so it's tough to say,,(more)
But one appears to be about the middle of the car near the front, and the other (seemingly smaller) puddle appears to be under the passenger side seat.
And dare I ask exactly what problem your car...
