is a very faint gas/exhaust smell normal?

Default well, I move the car after I parked it to make more room under the port so it's tough to say,,(more)

But one appears to be about the middle of the car near the front, and the other (seemingly smaller) puddle appears to be under the passenger side seat.

And dare I ask exactly what problem your car was having?

could be. My bimmer never leak until the engine running.

Default my prob was nothing, fuel filter was clogged, so gas was leaking slightly out of connection

between the filter and the hose. the new filter was 17.22 at vw dealer, and i replaced it in 30 minutes

Default put some on my finger to smell it, didn't have a strong smell.

Thinking (well praying) it's just water.
