Default is a very faint gas/exhaust smell normal?

I know it seems like a dumb question since the car is always burning gas an emmitting some exhuast while it's running, but is it normal for me to be able to smell it (faintly) with the doors open and the car running?

It's not bad or anything, just barely present. I also havn't driven it in two weeks (broken ankle) so I was thinking that may have something to do with it.

Having the oil changed tomorrow at a mechanic and was just wondering if this is something I should ask to have looked at or not.

For reference, I drive a 1.8t and the average temperature is somewhere in the lower 90 degree range.

Default re: i smelled a lil thru the air vents when i broke allthe DP bolts..

fumes were being sucked into the air intake for climate control when the car wasnt moving.

Default It's been out there for about an hour now...(more)

I see two small puddles under the car now but neither of them still appear to be leaking. This leads me to believe it was probably just the AC condensation.

Would a gas leak be continuous I presume?

Also, milage has been excellent, so no drop off in that.

So if there isn't a leak, is this smell fairly normal?

Seems like if it were that there would be other problems aside from a smell through, right?

It could be leak only when the fuel system pressurized (when engine running)
