yea, my issue though, was that I had it working, and for some reason....

when the dealer recoded my remotes, they fubar'd my coding, and it was all wacky. Just glad I was able to get it back to normal!

Most VW dealers have a nice machine that cleans up those intake manifolds.....

I have a buddy that works @ one, and just trades them out for me. It'll feel like it added 30-40 hp when you do it. Last TDI I did that to, had carbon build up so much that the air passage was...

Honestly, junkyard engines can be had for $400-1400, but the diesel heads are gold for some reason. IMO it'd be pretty cheap to throw in a 1.8T with a 5 speed manual, but with that kind of work it...

I know of a '97 Jetta TDI auto with 250k.........

blown engine, dropped a valve. Guy will give it away. Free. Pretty decent shape otherwise.
