Default Replacing Stock Head Unit... (upgrade unit)

I have a 07 S4 that I got used with only 4k miles SPO. The problem is it doesn't have GPS and it was too good of a deal to pass up. That being said I really need my gps and even with the upgrade radio I am not that impressed over all with the features. So my question is, has anyone replace the stock unit and if so with what and how did it work? Sorry for all the questions, but this is the first car that I have bought that I really enjoy and I want to take care of it. Thanks in advance..

Default Try this site

If you want to retain OEM unit, try this site http://www.navplus.us/. There is plenty info on RNSE unit retrofit.

I was hell bent on getting GPS for my S4 also. However when I went to the dealer they didnt have one in a vehicle that I wanted. I got the bose sound package with bluetooth and Im happy with that. I also went to Best Buy and bought a Garmin Nuvi. That thing is well worth the $900 price tag. Yes its not integrated with the car but it comes with attachments to let you mount it whereever you want. When I get my car back "currently being shipped to the mainland" I will send pics of how I mounted it. The great thing about the nuvi is I can take it anywhere. I recently went to Kaui, and Vancouver and I had my gps with me. Plus you can upgrade the maps on line, and also load maps of europe and asia. My version also has the ability to avoid traffic. So IMHO as long as you have the bluetooth and the bose speakers save your self some money and buy a Nuvi

Where can I find one and is this something I should get professionaly installed? Please post a link to a site to get the unit. Also, if I swap out my old unit, can I sell that unit?

Default its very easy to install. I bought mine off ebay. and its plug and play...

meaning you just plug it in and play it. thats it. def one of the best mods I have done. just ties the interior together nicely. Some aftermarket naviagation make the interior look cheap but this is from Audi so it fits nicely. I still have my old unit and I am sure you could sell it but not for much.
