Short story(dealers, remote windows, codings, etc...)
Initially when I got my S, I coded the central convenience to allow for remote window control. About a month ago, one of my remotes stopped working, and during my 25k service, I asked the dealer to fix it. They did, but when I got my car back.....
No remote windows. No window control with the key in the lock cylinders even. Even more disturbing, was the cluster telling me that the right front door was open when I had the driver's door open!?
My initial look at the coding and adaptation values at a friend's house didn't spark my attention, as I didn't have too much time to look, and it was blazingly hot out in the sun. Today, I took the time, and would just like to relay the info, even though Ross-tech did a great job in thier software and website, making this very easy to do for anyone. My B7 S4, needed the convenience module to be coded to 10874 (not 11960, which apparently the dealer needed to do?), and then adapt channel 62 to 95. I hope nobody else had this happen.

yea, my issue though, was that I had it working, and for some reason....
when the dealer recoded my remotes, they fubar'd my coding, and it was all wacky. Just glad I was able to get it back to normal!
