Randomly won't start - muffled horn sound??

My 2002 1.8T has been randomly not starting. It will turnover and try to crank but can't quite get going. There is an almost muffled horn sound that accompanies it trying to crank. It did it...

99.5 Auto A4 wont go into Park......

Car shifts fine otherwise, but will not go into park.

Tranny fluid could use a change, but I doubt that would be the cause. Any ideas?

I have to park it in neutral and leave the key in the...

99.5 1.8T tip. Tranny seems to shift fine otherwise, but will not go into park. I had to leave it in neutral last night with the keys in the ignition. Any ideas?

Broken Timing Belt???????

I think my timing belt just broke!!

I get the whine when i try to crank it. it sounds like it wants to start, but wont. is there a way to check th TB to see if it has in fact broke without taking...

Yes, S4 is > A4 but.......

At the time, I couldnt afford to keep the S4 and due to financial reasons, I had to sell. While the S4 is certainly > than the A4.......the S4 $ is also > than the A4 $.

Not necessarily. I know several S4s with 140+k miles on stock turbos and no problems...

ImolaBaby is one. This car has been babied since it was bought brand new, so I think these turbos will last someone a long time.

Plus, you wont find a better price anywhere for a car of this...
