My 2002 1.8T has been randomly not starting. It will turnover and try to crank but can't quite get going. There is an almost muffled horn sound that accompanies it trying to crank. It did it yesterday evening so I left it overnight but it started fine this morning and afternoon. It's now doing it again.

Any ideas? Thanks

Start by getting the battery tested, if it passes, move onto the starter.
