EGTs won't necessarily throw a code. Best bet would be to scan it using Vag-Com.

Your easiest route would be to convert the RS4 MAF to hitachi, i think VAST sells the Hitachi conversion.

I bought a universal one and the space between the outlets was bigger than I wanted it to be. The tips would be spaced apart too far for my liking so make sure you check that before buying one,...
