Just installed gauges and GPS in center vent let me know what you think
Heres a pic if the finished job and Ill go alittle into detail on how I did It.

First off heres what I started doing the job
with.

The GPS is just a Garmin nuvi. i also got a piece of cardboard from one of those christmas shirts you didnt like and cut it to fit in the vent housing. I then pulled the vents from the housing and cut away some of the supports its best to cut it down to where the vents snapped into place so the GPS will sit flush and it then holds the GPS in place you will also have to remove the flaps that open and close the vent so the gauges will fit.
next i started to fiberglass to make the face plate.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/149100/dsc00569.jpg">
After a day of pulling my hair out I realized how stupid I was and quiet fiberglassing and just bought a piece of plexy glass. I then got the piece of cardboard and cut the holes and made sure everything would look ok. It did so I outlined the plexy glass with a sharpie and started cuting with a roto zip but anything should work. Once I had it cut and sanded I painted it with flat black put the GPA in place and the faceplate on top and glued it from the back. The rest was just wiring, one thing I did do as far as the wiring go was to put in a rocker switch to the GPS so that way I could turn it on and off when I wanted to but the gauges I wired off the key. But before you push it back in the dash be sure to cap off the vent so you dont over heat the gauges and GPS. So heres some more finished pics. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions let me know.
