Default Thoughts about this muffler...

I've been looking for advice about mufflers. I want to weld in a rear muffler to my AWE Twin1.

So, I picked a straight-through design for performance. Dual 2.25" in/out to match the AWE Twin1. And a "satin" finish because I don't think a shiny muffler behind my AWE tips would look good.

The muffler I chose is the Magnaflow 11378 (linked below).

It seems like a close fit, but should work. Thoughts?

Thanks.<ul><li><a href="http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&amp;id=7871">http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&amp;id=7871</a</li></ul>

Why not try and find someone to swap with a Twin2?

Default 2nd... besides, the 4 x 9 magnaflow dual has ~5.25" center to center spacing...a bit wide.

add some 3" OD tips and the outside to outside width is 8.25".

With a Twin 1/2 conversion, do a little reasearch (or call AWE). They look modular like you could swap just rear muffler section with a twin 2 owner.

I'll trade you my Twin 2 for your twin one and you pay me 100.

Default I'll look into the spacing. As for swapping a Twin2 back, it's just too expensive...

Between $500-$600 (I forgot exactly).

Default If you live in the CA Bay Area, and your Twin2 is in good condition, okay...

Let me know.

Default I would be careful with universal mufflers...

I bought a universal one and the space between the outlets was bigger than I wanted it to be. The tips would be spaced apart too far for my liking so make sure you check that before buying one, unless you plan on mounting it instead of the resonator in the center of the car and then run 2 pipes all the way to the tips.

Good Luck

Default This is what I'm talking about... swap just the rear with this guy.

Better than swapping/shipping the whole system.
