Hot start issues!

2006 A4 2.0T, HPFP, cam and follower replaced in 2015 along with in tank fuel pump and fuel filter.
For last week or so car would either not start, cranks no problem, or start occasionally and die...

Heating issues 2006. A4 2.0T quattro 140K

Replaced heater core in November 2015 due to poor heat, lots of scaling.
Worked fine rest of the winter.
Following fall 2016. poor heat again, another new heater core, lots of milky stuff in it....

2006 A4 2.0T, by my mistake i had P0089 code erased

that could be related to cam follower, cam and HPFP failure.
It's been 3 days and CEL is off. My question is : does this code or any other codes get stored in ECU and could be retrieved by dealer...

More affordable to maintain: 1.8T B6 or 2.0T/3.2 B7,standard transmission or automatic?
Any obvious signs of engine issues(oil consumption ,sludge) before purchase?

Is there a way to figure out if car has sludge issue and oil consumption before purchase and turbo issues?
I was told that even if car has good compression it can still burn more that 1QT of oil/1K....

I am stuck on step 12, removed nut from the bolt,but bolt is stuck in bushing.
Tried rubber mallet , no luck. Thinking about getting larger C clamp,mine is only 4 inches diameter.
Any other ideas?

that would include all suspension parts removal so that I can bring whole knuckle with hub to my friends machine shop for bearing removal/new bearing installation.

Why do you think that clutch fan is defective?
If you look at my first post you can see that coolant temp. is probably OK,or not!
