was replaced with another used unit back in March.They replaced t-belt,water pump,thermostat,CTS.Was told that elec.fan only come on in extreme heat.Last 2 days temp. is over 95 F,very humid,temp.gauge is in middle on highway,when in stop and go traffic or idling for 5-10 min.goes close to second notch past middle,elec.fan is still off!!!
Seems like car is close to overheating.A/C is running whole time.
Also my heat is not working,blows hot air for 1-2 min. and then is cold,must be air in system.Would having air bubble cause elec. fan not to run?From what i read here fan shold turn on when A/C is on.
Repair shop is specialized in Euro cars,not sure if they kney what they are talking about.What do you guys think?
Definitely hate to see car overheat and cause big damage.

When the AC is switched on, is the electric fan running? If not, something is wrong with the fan motor or the electric circuit that powers it. You said that the old one ran all the time. This probably means the coolant switch was defective.

If you still have the original mechanical fan clutch, it may be bad by now. I didn't change the fan clutch on my '96 until it rattled, and then I realized what a working fan clutch made the fan sound like when it was hot.

Electric fan is not coming on when A/C is on.
Why do you think that clutch fan is defective?
If you look at my first post you can see that coolant temp. is probably OK,or not!
