old one was not working on 2001 A4 2.8 ATQ.New fan checks out ok when connected directly to battery.When installed it does not come on with AC on or jumping connector for fan switch(new also).Fan fuse and relay are fine and all wiring.
My next guess is fan controller.Is there a way to check it,besides installing another used or new unit.I have not pulled it of car to check part number.My current unit has to wires going out of it.When calling Audi dealer and giving them vin number i was told that part number is 8D0959501D.
They have no picture of it,when checking online that part number matches with units that have 4 wires and 2 plugs and only mention 2001 A4 with 1.8 T engine and other 1999-2004 A4,A6,V6 Passat and so on????
I wonder if its possible that someone previously installed wrong unit before i bought it.
Has anyone encountered these problems before?
