Yep, but I thought the valves usually don't get close to the pistons, right?

Wonder if anyone can make aftermarket pistons with valve relief cutouts like these.

Why couldn't Audi design pistons like these to avoid damage when TB breaks?

Not sure which engine uses these pistons (I think its from a Toyota), but they've got valve relief pockets that avoid catastrophic valve/piston damage when the timing belt/tensioner/waterpump goes...

I just removed that today. Remove charge pipe, remove timing belt cover, remove connector-->

and un-bolt the two 10mm hex bolts holding it in place....It wasn't too difficult....

teeth off hand, but then again I can't clearly see the whole belt. Is the timing belt suppose to turn when you are cranking the ignition? I see the alt/steer/crank pulleys turning when I crank the...

Yes, it does sound like it is spinning just a little faster (sounds different)......My waterpump

went bad at around 49,000 and Audi replaced that along with tensioner and a few other parts, but no the belt itself. The car has 88,139 miles now. Is it possible for the problem to be timing belt...

Just got the Stoptechs on my 225....they work and fit great and have the vinyl cover -->

on the braided stainless to protect stuff around the lines from damage....The Goodrich are really good too from what I hear, but they were backordered everwhere when I was looking for them....

Checked power steering fluid and was shocked to find that it has the consistency of yogurt -->

The new fluid I bought is water-like (very similar to haldex fluid)....has anyone else experienced this?
