Well, I didn't expect it to work, and it didn't. The way it burns coolant is so inconsistent though. Runs fine sometimes and burns nothing. Other times it starts missing and uses a quart.

It's definitely burning coolant in cylinder 2. There is an internal coolant leak for sure, and I'm using a decent amount now.

I'm already pretty much 100% sure I have a bad head gasket that leaks into cylinder #2. I get a rough idle now, and cylinder #2 misses a lot at idle.

My idle is smooth as silk, so no vacuum leak as far as I can tell. I'll replace the valve soon and see if that reduces consumption at all.

We're in the same boat haha. I just check my coolant in the morning, top it off if needed. Been doing this for 5 or 6 months now and it hasn't gotten any worse, maybe even better tbh.

Do any of those pipes connect between cylinders 2 and 5 specifically? The shop said they would have to pull the manifold to check the pipes/o-rings, so they didn't do that and just said I have (2)...

It wasn't at 1qt per 800, but I think it is getting worse actually, it was around 1qt per 2k miles for a while.
