So did you buy the motor just for the flywheel assembly? Incidentally, some '02 3.0s had camshaft wear problems.

I believe that the B6/B7 transition was 2005. For instance, my B6 (late 2004 build date) is a 2005 model, but the earliest later B7s are also 2005s.
