I didn't do too much damage with the chain and huge C hook. Luckily and plastic piece that goes around the trunk latch covered it up; so no tears.

Just put the steering column back together. The issue wasn't the spring but a bent contact. Now I'm just left with the ole J124 lamp control module rear. Going to see if I can find one for cheap....
