Default S-car back on the road,,,

Only a select few of you know that my car was rear ended at a stop sign by my house. The insurance company totaled it out and I was left with a car to fix.

Through the connections of the forum (Urs4Boy and Scarman) I was able to locate a trunk, bumper, Spare tire board and miscellaneous trim pieces to reassemble the car. A big thanks to typ44quattro for saving my bacon and offering these parts. His car is gone but sheet metal from it is now on 3 Urs4's in Spokane.

The process was borrowing a pull cylinder from work and lining the car up to a tree in my back yard. The picture offered is how NOT to do it. By wrapping the chain around the light lens hole it caused damage as it pulled out the body. A quick call to an expert showed me to weld a fixture to the various parts of the body to pull it out. It took him a couple hours and presto, the trunk shut and lenses fit.

I'm driving it again while it's in primer and it's not so bad. Just a small splash below the tail light.

I'm running badgeless for now. My badge is very weathered and I'm looking for something nicer. Any badges out there laying about???

Good news. If asked, I would have told you that this attempt was going to end in tears :

Thanks guys.
I didn't do too much damage with the chain and huge C hook. Luckily and plastic piece that goes around the trunk latch covered it up; so no tears.
