I acutually find my WRX to be better in the snow vs the S4..

Both cars had the same size snow tires but the WRX has an LSD in the rear (and a viscus center diff). Even with the diff locked the Subaru pulls away from a stop better and the LSD doesn't shut off...

That sucks dude. The WRX is a beast in the snow.

Looks like the JDM's came out ok... no scratches/cracks at least. The grill might be able to be repaired to with some plasti-weld. At least I hope... it's a nice look.

I mounted mine on the inside of the passenger side footwell. There's a screw there...

...thats easy to mount a bracket to. You can see where I mounted it here.
