I've got an APR too.. some comments on it

It's more choppy than stock ecu. Hi torque from 2k to 4k but tapers significantly above 5k. Jolty throttle response during normal city driving. But it's worth the 7 or 8 hundred cost.

Oh crap. No output recorded for block 32 and I returned vag-com to owner

I only did a "scan" which didn't provide any block 32 info. Perhaps I should have ran a different test? I returned the vag-com to the owner already (along with a 6-pack of German beer). I guess...

How else can anyone produce something so cheap. It's also a giveaway that shipping too so long.

It's hit or miss with that kind of business model. Quality control can be a problem as well as...

Re: measuring block 32 please

I'll check block 32 when I get home today but my guess is that when it checked block 32 it output "no fault codes" like many others. Wouldn't this fault code show up in the main list with the other...

Vag com data dump (follow on to my O2 sensor post). How screwed am I?

Below is a data dump from vag-com. I've read scary things that this could mean turbos cooked? Also, in addition to the info below the car doesn't start.

Should I buy the Bentley manual or just dig in?

As it turns out I also need to replace bank1 sensor1 too. Is the accordian hose and expansion tank accessible from the bottom or from the top of the engine?

Will buy you beer for use of your vag-com in San Jose - Palo Alto area

Heck, I'll even buy ya 2 beers. I'm just that generous. My 2001 A6 won't start and it's sitting in my driveway. I've hooked up an OBDII reader to it and got a couple codes (O2 sensor and a misfire)...

How hard is it to replace an O2 sensor (bank2,sensor1)?

Engine code P1131 shows this to be an O2 sensor at the location of bank2 sensor1. I looked that up and found it to be located before the first cat on the drivers side. Anyone have any experience...

There isn't a difference. Guide was probably printed prior to final model specs

Both the s4 and a6 have the same power and torque curves according to their model specs. The guide shows a difference in output between these two vehicles and that is not correct.

Car won't start and get error codes P1131 and P0300

Car won't start. Battery good. No click or anything when key is turned to start.

Plugged in a ODMII code reader and read P1131 and P0300. I've read on this forum that those are an o2 sensor...

Do I need a vag com to read codes off my 2001 A6 2.7t or can I get use an OBDII reader as well? If I'm not mistaken the vag com will cost me $230 and a obd code reader will cost me $70.

Point is....

that between the Z and H tires I have and had the only difference between them is highly anecdotal no matter how much of a tire expert one thinks he or she is and that it's too bad us consumers are...
