There is a 99 A6 with a 2.8 for sale cheap, but it needs a new engine. The car is in San Diego.

For the best MPG you should have the engine revving relatively low in top gear...

If you can manage (and doesn't drive you insane) sticking to the speed limits should do the trick.

I just did a long road trip, and my light came on at about 350-360 mi...

I didn't do the math for all the fill ups, but the one time it worked out to 25mpg.

This was all freeway doing just over 80 most of the time.

No. I didn't cover anything, but I didn't use high pressure...

I have done this many times (mind you on other cars) and again, the car runs fine, after some hiccups...
