The hole in the mount was misformed or larger.

I was told that the only way you can really tell is taking the strut out and looking at it.

Thanks for your opinions. I will take a look at the Carbotech line.

Being that my car is a 1.8T I don't think I need something extreme. Maybe the XP-8's will work.

What are your recommendations for track pads on stock calipers?

I have the stock S4 front brakes on my B6 A4. It seems Hawk only goes up to the Blue. Any recommendations?

I have stock rotors, which 2 more sets of stock in the garage...

I didn't think there was much more of an option for S4 brake pads. There isn't much fitment listed on the Hawk website.

It is, but I remember in the past my instructor had a new student for a Monday only.

I know I would be fine on my own, but it wouldn't hurt having someone else in the car.
