For the Palm III, you will require an adapter cable, connecting the Serial Port end of the OBD-II cable to your Palm. Many of these older Palms included these cables standard with the original purchase of the Palm III. If you require one, they are available through VAD for an addtional $20.00.
Also, your 2007 Q7 runs on the CAN-Bus communication network. For the moment, the VAD Mobile software cannot communicate with this network, although we are presently working on a solution for CAN. At the moment, only our VADPro-900 has this ability.
VAD Mobile will have no difficulty communicating with the ECU's in your 2001 A4.
